MARCO JACOME NAMED 2010 NIEAPA MEMBER OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to Marco Jacome, who was named 2010 NIEAPA Member of the Year. Marco has been an active member of NIEAPA since 1994 and has served as treasurer for the past six years. Marco, a CEAP, is Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Alternative Systems in Chicago. In addition to expertly managing the chapter financials, Marco is also an excellent ambassador for NIEAPA, representing us in the community.
Marco has devoted his entire life to the underserved Hispanic population. He has implemented alcohol and drug treatment programs, provided housing for Hispanic males, developed substance abuse prevention education, and other benevolent programs that serve the community. In 2006, Marco was one of six recipients of the Jefferson Award which is “given to ordinary people who do extraordinary things, without expectations of recognition or reward.” We are very proud of Marco Jacome and his many professional accomplishments. We wish him continued success!
