KAREN VEGA O'CONNELL
Karen Vega O'Connell, LCSW, longtime friend and colleague of many NIEAPA members passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008 after a two-month illness.
Karen completed her undergraduate studies at National Louis University and received an MSW from Jane Addams at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her MSW program, she interned at Perspectives and then went into Private Practice. Along the way she was a hospice social worker, an on-site EAP counselor at National Trust Bank, Harris Bank, and Workplace Solutions.
She and her husband Tom recently purchased their dream home in Long Beach, Indiana, and were planning to sell their Chicago condo and spend summers in Long Beach and winters in Florida.
She will be missed by so many of us-clients who worked with her for years, her family, friends and colleagues.
PASSING OF SPOUSE OF LONG TIME NIEAPA MEMBER
We are sorry to inform you that Sheila Dixon’s husband, Charles (Chuck) Queenan, of Glenview, recently passed away. Sheila is a long-time NIEAPA member and served on the NIEAPA Board in the past. We offer our sincere condolences to Sheila and her family.
