Becoming a Deliberate Leader with The Power of Temperament (2.0 CEU)
Friday, December 4, 2026, • 9:00am - 12:00pm
Hopemark Health 8 S Michigan, suite 1505, Chicago
Leadership style and personality assessment has been utilized for decades, yet the results or product often gets lost in the massive amount of generalized information that the reports produce for each person. The experience is often described as informative and enjoyable but the information they learn does not often get applied to the workplace. In the use of The Power of Temperament, every individual can learn specific nuanced information about their temperament and how it shows up in the workplace. Traits can be expressed in helpful and unhelpful ways, and through The Power of Temperament we help people learn how to maximize the productive expressions. Participants will learn how to use this new information to improve communication, team cohesion, and productivity.
Learning Objectives:
1) Understand temperament and neurobiology and how it impacts leadership, team building and work performance.
2) Identify one’s own trait profile and how traits can be expressed productively and/or destructively.
3) Engage in experiential activity to understand how we can shift to more productive expression of our traits to improve work performance, communication and team cohesion.
Outline:
- What is Temperament?
- Traits vs States
- Expression of traits (productive and nonproductive). Different expressions due to different environmental conditions.
- Administer The Power of Temperament Questionnaire, score it. Identify top helpful traits and top unhelpful traits.
- Discuss results in small break out groups
- Engage in experiential activities to learn skills to shift trait expression
