NIEAPA is successful due to our engaged and dedicated membership. Every other month, the membership committee's "Member Spotlight" blog series will feature and thank some of our most engaged members. 

This month's "Member Spotlight" interviewed one of our newest members Myat Nyunt. Myat took some time with us to share why he joined NIEAPA:

1. Why did you join NIEAPA?

I joined NIEAPA to meet and network with fellow EAP professionals in the area. When I was a graduate student, I had the opportunity to be a part of EAPA and had a chance to volunteer at the conference in 2018, ever since I wanted to join the organization but due to financial constraints I had to wait until now to become apart of this great community. 

2. What have you enjoyed the most from attending NIEAPA's events in 2025?

I really enjoyed the welcoming environment of the NIEAPA chapter meeting, as it was my first ever NIEAPA meeting. I was intimidated, but the members immediately made me feel welcome. 

3. What upcoming NIEAPA events, presentations and/or activities are you most excited about attending in the future?
